Many workers are not initially comfortable with the concept of performing their skill or task in a radiological environment. HAMMER’s Radiological Training program is the largest DOE provider of radiological safety training, maintaining qualifications for over 5,000 individuals and the basis of the National Training Center Reciprocity Program. HAMMER’s training prepares every worker to safely perform their task in a radiological environment with confidence, knowledge and appropriate skills. Training with simulated materials and live radioactive sources is available.

HAMMER subject matter experts supported DOE development of radiological training guides used throughout the complex. During the past five years standardized Site training through HAMMER has saved over 3 million dollars in duplicate training and project costs.

HAMMER Hanford Training classes are available to DOE and DOE-affiliated entities including Hanford contractors and their subcontractors.
