The Hanford Patrol Training Academy (PTA) staff offers a series of tactical response force training activities to meet a wide variety of Law Enforcement/Security/Military training needs. Customers can bring their own trainers or use the facility’s cadre of highly qualified training professionals. The PTA instructors hold certifications from the National Training Center (NTC), Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center (CJTC), the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). Certifications include:

• SWAT,
• Defensive Tactics,
• Firearms,
• Range Officer,
• Emergency Vehicle Operations Course,
• Physical Fitness,
• Curriculum Development, 
• Casualty Care Training,
• Safety, and
• Opposition Force

The Patrol Training Academy is available to DOE and DOE-affiliated entities, military, as well as other authorized federal and state agencies, and local law enforcement and security personnel.
